Is this refunded?
- The medical examination for immigration to Canada, including the examination by Dr. Gouget, a basic biological assessment and a chest x-ray, is not reimbursed by French Health Insurance. Therefore, you cannot expect reimbursement from your health insurance or your mutual insurance company. However, in many professional sectors, it is possible to negotiate the reimbursement of these costs by your (future) employer in Canada. It is therefore advisable to carefully keep the bill of fees from Dr. Gouget, the laboratory and the radiologist.
- If you suffer from a chronic pathology, the Canadian administration may require additional examinations. In this case, these examinations will be covered by French Health Insurance, because they are carried out in the interest of your health.
